I think a lot of coaches, including the holy one at Alabama that would have come on a tried to bleed clock after halftime.

How many successful coaches stomp on the gas up 21? Honestly? You make this sound like something that plagues Miles and Miles alone...being conservative when up big. This is prototypical Monday morning QB'ing to question what is Coaching 101. Had LSU hung on we'd have never ever heard about this. It's RARE to find any coach that doesn't start trying to bleed some clock when they go up big.
Not to mention I haven't watched that game in nearly 10 years, but I have a feeling the suggestion that Les slammed on the breaks as if he was a about to run over a homeless baby are being exaggerated...a bit.

I'm not sure how anyone living in South Louisiana in 2005 at that time could say that the events leading up to that game played a negligible role in the score of that game. I'm not sure you could find a Vol fan with the balls to even make that claim.
