I cross-shopped those two also and bought the Shield. The Bodyguard is just no fun to shoot. The trigger pull is terrible. Total opposite with the Shield. I can go through 100 rounds at the range with no problem. Admittedly, I don't carry mine so the difference in size may be a bigger factor for you.
