LSU Saban's 2003 D or

LSU Chavis' 2011 D?

Both were awesome. Both had a completely different philosophy.

Which do you rather?

I'm not totally sure. I think 2003 was a tougher D.

But 2011 did something I don't think I've ever seen a college defense do... beat the best in the business of every style imaginable. Starting with the Oregon fast paced read spread, through the a slower paced spread in WVU, then the power-dominant offenses of MSU and Bama. Then finished off with dominating performances against Arky and UGA. And duplicating an effort against Bama in the rematch. Remember Bama only 5 FG's until a late TD.

So while I love the Saban 03 D and think it was stronger, the facts say that no D has been a better, more accomplished D than Chavis 2011. It's unreal how that D could take on no matter what was thrown at it.
