CBS's bracketology has LSU 8 seed vs 9 seed San Diego State (experienced coach and experienced team) in the same region with #1 seed Gonzaga.
Of course this will all change many times, but you can see great variations between the ESPN version and the CBS version, based on the identical moment in the season.
LSU would be better off as an 11 seed (LAST FOUR IN) in a play in game than being the 8 and having to play Gonzaga to get to the regional semi's.
The 11 11 winner will be playing a 6 seed and then the 3 and then the 2 and then the 1.
Much easier path to the final four or even elite 8, than an 8 seed.
Only good thing about an 8 seed is you are matched against a team that is about like you are.
11-11 game gives you the same 50/50 game as 8/9 without dealing with the Zags two days later.

15 more SEC games guys, I'm cautiously optimistic after watching all the SEC teams play but also realize that other than Auburn and State no one else beating LSU would be a big surprise at this point. LSU could easily be 3-0 or 0-3.
