Anyone just see the interview? Patrick seemed genuinely pissed at Letterman for calling him a "stooge" in the Sandler movies, and let him know about it. Dave was pretty speechless, but didn't really back down. Very awkward interview, with what seemed like legitimate tension between the two. You could even "feel" the uneasiness from the audience.

You can't be mad in those situations or should I say show it.

Just get out there a slip Dave some zingers.

I love Dan Patrick but he comes across as a moron here. Dave's right, being in an Adam Sandler movie makes you a stooge. No need to whine about it. Patrick is making it out to be a supporting role in a Fincher film.

He'd been talking about it all week on his show. I thought he would play it for laughs, but that didn't work out right. Came across way too serious.

Ya'll can't be serious with this shite right?

It was obviously 100% staged for laughs. He brought s clip in. They gift wrapped all the Sandler dvds and they were in Letterman's trash can.

Do you think that was all a coincidence? Do you think that Letterman and the producers don't review every single film clip that goes on screen?

Newsflash: It was a joke

DirtyMike has it right. Dan Patrick is such a good actor that he has most of you fooled.

Y'all could be on to something about Dan's ego...however you have to remember that most of that is just that...an act.

I would hang with DP if I could.

ETA: watched the clip. I thought it was hilarious.

Didn't seem awkward at all, seemed staged.

The only thing awkward about it is that it's not funny. But that's 90% of Letterman's show now, so nothing new.
