I'm intrigued by this shaving method. But it does seem somewhat time consuming. How would y'all compare the time involved vs. a regular shaving cream and razor shave?

I only spend maybe 5 minutes or so shaving.

Initially, it takes a while. Like 30 minutes. It takes me about 17 now. I can do 10 in a hurry, maybe even a bit faster, but I really enjoy the process, so I like to take my time. It's like starting off every day with a spa treatment for your face.
Prep takes longer (lathering the shaving cream), and most people make three passes shaving. Obviously, both of those add time.

I'm in a situation where I don't have to shave every day - so, there is that. I only shave 3 or 4 times a week. But, the time spent is well worth it, in my opinion. I dreaded shaving before with the crazy chemical soap and the little jagged "razors" - just little tiny slivers of metal supported by a $5 plastic scaffolding.

To me it depends on if you are working around facial hair. When I'm not rocking the beard and I can just shave everything and not worry about keeping a good line I can get 3 passes in 5-7 mins. Depends on if it's been 2days or more too since last shave.

It takes me almost the exact same amount of time to shave but I do not normally use a brush/soap.
