well he started as a freshmen, a sophomore and a junior, and redshirted this year.
So he has 1 to play 1

Yes, you start with 5 to play 4 basically. He played 3 in 4, so he only has 1 to play 1. If he comes here, it will only be because he was promised a starting roll.
