All my labs have been through FF but I would only recommend this be done with someone that knows what they are doing and more importantly, done it before and better yet, maybe many times. It's way too easy to frick up a dog if you have someone that doesn't know how to FF correctly. However, the finished product will solve the OP's problems and set the stage to never have the dog refuse a retrieve or drop early again.
