You and your wife are driving a total of around 6000 miles a month and none of that is paid for by the companies you work for?

You're doing it all wrong.

We both own our own companies and have 4 kids. She drives a guzzler in city traffic. I get about 300 miles per tank, so I drive about 2000 + miles per month. Not sure how you arrive at 6000, but I assure you, it's you doing it wrong.

And, if you don't think those miles are erased from my tax burden, you don't know much.

I dont know what kind of cars you drive so it was an assumption. You said you are filling up 8 x month. I assumed you're getting at least 450 miles per tank...8x450 = 3600

Your wife is filling up 5 x month. I assumed your wife is getting 400 miles per tank. 5x400 - 2000

3600
2000
=5600 around 6000 miles total

I own my own company and my company owns my truck.

I live 90 miles from my office and I drive 1200 miles a week...I average about 60,000 miles a year on my trucks that gets replaced every 2 years. Dont lecture me about what is what isnt tax deductible.
