We have heard several disturbing things about Steele's possible psychological breakdown during the Orange Bowl game. Multiple sources have said that he was calling plays from his days with the Panthers, which aren't in the Clemson playbook, and as such the players were totally confused.

So, can someone show me why this is the worst hire ever before a game is played or is this just everyone being typical reactionary pussies?

Because he's sucked as a DC at previous schools..

All this negativity was said about many of our DC hires, reality is he'll come in with this talent and become a top DC for years to come. His scheme with pressure is good against the spread.

Idk WTF everyone is freaking out about. He will either be awesome and our D will be sick or it's the final straw that forces Les out.

It's a win-win in my opinion.

Nick Saban 15-17 with Miami. Awesome job, should have never come back to coach.

Some of you sound like the biggest cry babies in the world. Sheesh, let the man coach then judge him.

Saban was a proven winner in CFB when he went to the pros and when he came back to college he resumed winning.

Steele's greatest accomplishment was teaching the WV fanbase how to count to 70.

I do know that Steele has a reputation for being a nervous wreck on gamedays. I'm sure most of you recall that he passed out on the sidelines during a game, and I have heard many times that he requires an IV for fluids because he's such a wreck and won't eat at all on gameday. Hopefully he can get these things corrected for his own health.

Or we chug along going 9-3 every year sitting at about 3rd in the west and being perfectly fine with it.

I d when that guy said this hire would shock the college football world and LSU would be the talk of all the pundits.

Turns out he was right.
