Expect hire to be announced arouhd the 15th maybe a few days after.
Regarding an NFL Defensive Coordinator, the average salary is 1.5 million. Gordy Rush said the fact that LSU is offering close to that amount makes it much more likely we snag an NFL guy.

Yeah he was talking out of his arse about Schottenheimer going to UGA and someone must have done the math and said the average NFL DC salary is 1.5 million.

The average salary of college head coaches is $1.5 million, so we are clearly going to hire one of the 120ish other head coaches in college football.
The average salary of an American automobile manufaturing company financial officer is $1.5 million dollars, so we are clearly going to hire one of those guys as our next DC.
The average salary of Hollywood B-List actors is $1.5 million so we are clearly hiring Owen Wilson as our next DC

I predict , and Im 90%+ sure of this , that we hire a DC in the next few days or so . And , no , I don't have a source... but Im absolutely 90%+ certain of this. Book it.
