"Yea I don't see where we got "ripped off". AR was worthless to this team. We turned him into a possible contributor and a 2nd round pick. Sounds good to me."
I am not enthused over the trade but this is pretty much where I come down. There is a tendency to mistake a thing's current value with what you paid for it. Although Rivers was the 10th pick in the draft, his current value is "reasonably athletic marginal NBA player who may still have some upside." you don't get Jeff Green for that.
