Was going to post the same damn thing. AND those guys play in the BRUTAL cold of December and January. It's not like the bowl games for Div I.
Not to mention a few of those "guys who can't handle it" will be playing 20+ games in the NFL (including pre-season) WITH a 53 man roster.

The dominant conference comes and goes in cycles. Next few years your conference may be the dominant one. That is if harbaugh stays in Michigan for the long haul and penn state gets back on track; it appears that penn state is attempting to do that. Not to mention Wisconsin and Minnesota

It's been my dying wish for FBS to adopt the FCS playoff model, copy & paste as it is and leave it alone, especially when every conference champion qualifies in that model.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned that the NFL plays 16 game regular seasons with 53 man rosters yet Urban is complaining about having 85 guys.

I think 6 is the way to go honestly. Top two seeds get byes just like in the NFL. I think 8 is too many.
