hope/optimism will rise when the Les Miles/Alleva era is finished and we move on to a head coach and administration thats more progressive and aggressive about winning national titles...

I don't care who they hire this ever hopeful and overly optimistic fanbase will 2nd guess it and start preparing for doom and gloom and the end of LSU....... It's just this simple, Miles makes a competent hire or he doesn't. We either remain competitive or we don't. Miles wins a cpl more yrs and retires or loses and gets fired. Then when the next coach is hired the bright and hopefully optimistic fanbase will hate him too!!!!!!!
