If the rumors were true about Pendergast wanting to bring his own coaches in, it's very possible/probable that LSU moved on (at least chose not to immediately offer) themselves. That's not a fit for LSU.

Why is it a disaster that we didn't get him again?
I get that everyone wants a slam dunk but it's gotta be a fit and the timing sucks to find the guy fast.

To clear this up- it was not about bringing a complete staff-
CLM and ALeva have no clue on how to hire top caliber coaches-
