3.5 mm vs 5 mm neoprene waders

Is there a huge difference in the warmth of these 2 different thicknesses of waders. I had to buy a 3.5 mm pair because that is all they had in my size (13) and I'm going wading for the 1st time tomorrow morning. Just wondering if I made a mistake.

Tomorrow will be one of the 3 days in Louisiana when 5mm is appropriate.
3.5 will do fine though. You'll be happy you have them on the other 57 days of the season when it's 50 degrees.
