Tigs fans, I am sick and tired of our boys leaving us before their ripe. What is the solution to keep the WANT in their chest?

Do we need to offer them new equipment and/or better study facilities?

Until you can pay them millions, there is no solution for a player leaving early if they want to.

Do a better job of helping them realize the value of a general studies degree

They want to get paid for doing what it is that they are doing at LSU. They don't give a shite what you think about it, nor should they.

You're too stupid to bother insulting.

We have talent, but they're not elite. 8-5 isn't a good enough record for all of our draft eligible juniors to think they can leave.

Many of our players have left early and had unexpected success in the NFL. That's a huge motivator for guys to leave early. We've had some guys go to the draft that ended up surprising even our fans when they were able to get coached up in the NFL and make significant impact at that level. So even if they aren't first rounders, these underclassmen think they can do what others before them have done at the professional level. And eventually they'll make really good money. They're rolling the dice on their skills and betting they can pan out like other players have done.

And with the instability on defense with a new DC coming in, it makes it even more attractive.

Guess we shouldn't have so many guys in the NFL tearin' it up....

Offer them a $3,000,000 contract.

Either start recruiting less talented players or have the NCAA make a 4-year rule. The latter isn't going to happen, and the former would be stupid, so...

WTF to the OP.

"Their" not your boys or mine. They are not boys at all.

What you really mean is "how can we convince them to do what we want instead of what they want?"

Yeah because state of the art facilities, equipment, etc is what is making them leave early.

you are a selfish a-hole. If they want to go, it is their decision.

They can always come back and finish their education. So we all know you are worried about their Education. You are just being a selfish prick because you want your football team to do good.

no way too unless we start paying them. everyone's situation is different and everyone has diff reasons on why they make the jump even knowing they wont be a pick in the 1st or 2nd round. Hell some jump knowing they prob wont be picked in the first 3 or 4
