No, it's just been bothering me everytime I pass by a section that's missing 6 poles and the cables are hanging on the ground.

Why is that on some sections of interstate they're closer to one side, then on down they'll be closer to the other side? Why not put them in the middle of the median?

If they are dead in the middle they are not as effective. Basically the suspension of the car is in full compression and more likely to go under the cables.

Maybe someone can be more descriptive, but that is how I remember it being explained.
