I use a propane burner and a chimney starter filled with lump coal. No newspaper, no lighter fluid and is burning in 2-3 minutes. Also check into a looftlighter - all you need is an electrical outlet.

I do the same, my burner sits next to my primo and it doesn't get any easier.
