As long as we get some freezing arse cold weather after it passes I'm ok with the storms.

Always read the NWS forecast discussion:

quote:

QUICK UPDATE TO GRIDS AND FORECAST FOR TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 1 ISSUED BY SPC UNTIL 6 PM. GOOD INSTABILITY AND LOW LEVEL SOUTHERLY FLOW ACROSS LOWER ACADIANA TO WARRANT A RISK FOR SURFACE BASED ROTATING CELLS WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR DAMAGING WINDS OR ISOLATED TORNADO FOR THE NEXT FEW HOURS UNTIL LEADING EDGE OF THE SURFACE COLD FRONT AND CONVERGENCE ZONE MOVES THROUGH. ALSO...WHILE AT IT...CANCELLED WHAT WAS LEFT OF THE MARINE DENSE FOG ADVISORY FOR THE FAR EASTERN MARINE ZONES AS INSTABILITY HAS HELPED LIFT AND DISPERSE THE SEA FOG.

Came through Shreveport in the middle of the night.

I woke up at 3:30 and it sounded like my house was in the middle of a tornado. 50-60mph wind and +1" of rain per hour.

There are quite a few limbs down but I have not seen any damage reported by the news.
