If BH can learn how to step up in the pocket (don't think run so fast) and learn that not every ball has to be thrown so hard, we will be in great shape in the near future.

Just watch his highlights again...As painful as they are the future is bright.

Why do you think he will get a chance to start next year? What is Les Miles' past has indicated that he opens the qb competition?

What's funny about those highlights is that you heard tons of criticism about how we put Jennings under center and that's not what he's good at, etc.

In truth, he was in the gun a ton in that game.

I forgot how poorly the offensive line played that game.

Left the pocket way before he needed to a lot of times.

He was extremely nervous. Les giving him his 1st start at Auburn was just idiotic. Should've gotten a lot more reps earlier in the year "instead of securing victory" with a run offense.

Once we lost the 3rd game to Bama, we should've given BH more reps since all the season goals were not attainable.

Give Les all the criticism in the world, but he did start Harris on the road at Auburn (i.e. he gave it a shot and we got absolutely creamed with no shot to compete). Next season sits solely in the hands of BH. If he can figure it out, Les and Cam will play him. This isn't a JJ/JL situation. BH is head and shoulders more talented then AJ.

Would have been great if he had been given the chance to improve. The early games were a great opportunity but instead he gets thrown out against Auburn, at Auburn, for his first start and then expected to be good. The proof was Miles saying he would play him each week after that and then never doing it. We will never know, but judging by the JJ/Lee debacle it seems a fair assessment in saying Miles pulled the kid too fast and went with mediocre/steady, feels like more of his comfort zone.

I saw a QB that was a little hyped up and was leaving the pocket too early. Sometimes he stared down his reads, but he also got away and made some nice (and some poor) throws. That one late across the middle was brutal, and he got Quinn killed.

He looked like a freshman with a leaky offensive line starting his first game in an insanely hostile environment.

If BH can learn how to step up in the pocket
I really wish that last year's spring game was on the internet somewhere. Virtually every play he dropped back, then stepped up in the pocket. Honestly reminded of Brees. It is the reason I am more confident in him to be a great QB for us next year than most people.. Everything he did at Auburn can be attributed to nerves. High passes, scrambling unnecessarily, dropped snaps. He was clearly nervous and I don't blame the kid. That being said if you name him the starter in the spring, let him go into the summer knowing he's a starter, get all the first team reps in the fall, play your first game as a starter against a cupcake, play your second game on the road against a dedeclined MSU defense in an average environment. He will be extremely confident after that and will be 100x the QB we all saw against Auburn. Book it.

he was nervous and made a lot of mistakes and still put up a touchdown.
something jennings couldn't do in the same game.

and yet jennings played the rest of the year and harris threw the ball one other time in garbage time.

this year was the worst QB mismanaged year since 2004

I look at it and wonder why the hell he didn't play more vs Sam Houston and ULM

This was a radio game for me so this is the first time I've seen it.

He was erratic and nervous but still, you can see that there is potential there if it can be dialed in.
