Cardale Jones is a RS Soph. he's actually almost 4 yrs removed from HS, he went to a prep school immediately after. he's a bit more physically mature than Harris, and has had longer time in Urban's scheme.

that said, I don't think 60% comp, 200 ypg, 20ish TD passes on the yr are unreasonable expectations for a QB who starts the entire yr at LSU. that's for any given yr.

Thanks for clarifying. I'll restate...he was buried way down the depth chart and I've got to believe that he wasn't getting meaningful coaching throughout the season. He somehow comes out of nowhere and is able to run the offense that he can handle. Wouldn't you agree that both BH & AJ had more focussed coaching from the spring until now? If you agree with that, then how was OSU able to pull up a 2nd then 3rd QB option without going to a pee wee offense scheme.

You sound like the kind of nut-case that would let David Koresh do your wife and drink the kool aide when told to do so. It's really OK to think for yourself.

not sure why you're insulting me, or where I've shown I haven't thought for myself. I've wanted Harris to start most of the yr. I've said that pretty consistently for months. I sincerely doubt he'd have done worse than Jennings, he has a higher ceiling, and we'd have gotten him some experience. at worst, I think we could've played both and got Harris a few series a game.

I don't necessarily agree with that. Miller was hurt and limited as far back as spring. Jones got more reps as a result, and he was elevated to the 2nd team QB before the season started (when Miller got ruled out for the yr). it's not crazy to think that the OSU coaches put a bit more effort into getting him ready seeing as how he was 1 play away from starting at any given point. hell, he had Braxton there to help him out as well.

I agree 100% with OP! We are not developing our quarterbacks; doesn't matter who it is they all look the same on the field; even Mettenberger most of the time. I NEVER buy/believe in the "young" or "freshman" excuse; If other teams can win with young and inexperienced then so should LSU with correct coaching!
