The funniest part is look what happened immediately after he left those places. The defenses fell completely off the map. People don't understand just how terrible Cal was and he had the top defense there in the PAC for two straight years.

USC went from 61st to 13th in his one year there. Affer they let him go, they returned 8 of those starters this year and fell all the way to 80th. Cal has been 124th (which was the worst defense in the country last year) both years since he left. They were 71st the year before him and 18th in his first year.

Look, they guy took over crappy Auburn level defenses, and turned them into top 15 and top 20 defenses within his first year. That's with craptastic talent at Cal, and under sanctions at USC.
