Who handled this worse?

The LSU athletic department, or John Chavis?

Without knowing all the behind the door stuff we can't actually know what caused Chavis to do this, but from the outside it looks like Chavis was a little bitch.

Chavis should have resigned a long time ago IMO. Sounds like he had his mind made up.
I also think the AD needs to go back to a basketball college FWIW

This thread deserved your second post ever?

I still don't know what actually happened that led to this.

I think Chavis pulled ahead by coaching the worst game of his life and acting like a jackass at the bowl game. If nothing else, he should never have left it to social media to tell his players he was gone.

LSU...he shouldn't have been allowed to recruit or coach the bowl game.
He knew he was leaving before Tuesday and if LSU didn't know, they dropped the ball. If they did know, they should have removed themselves from him.

Agree Chavis looks bad in this situation. LSU could have also handled it better by sending him packing before the bowl game.

Chavis not the type to pull a move like this unless it was precipitated by a really bad move on LSU's part. The move to A&M was a total FU move to the LSU AD and Miles. As they say actions speak louder than words and going to A&M is one massive action that will be reverberating for awhile.

You state this like fact and you have no clue. Chavis got burned big time at Tennessee when Fulmer got fired. That is why he did this so this idea that 'chavis' wouldn't do this is off base. He learned to look out for himself after the UT debacle. LSU should have been prepared, but Chavis screwed LSU in this situation.

On the surface, Chavis. What really happened, who knows?

AD handled it worse. LSU athletics treats everything like business and only cares about money (exhibit A is how they ruined tailgating for parking revenue). Don't blame Chavis then for treating this like business as well.

At the end of the day Chavis bailed for a division foe. Has no regard for LSU apparently. Money talks

Yet, they spend as much on coaches as nearly anyone.

They actual spend more than anyone else. We just get an inferior product in return.
