The "Miles Clause" isn't about Miles! It's about an assistant to a head coach, period. It's very common. If a head coach leaves, the new one wants to bring in his guys. Chavis either didn't want to be replace or, more likely, get paid the full 3-4 yr contract when he did. Guaranteed money for not coaching. Perfect retirement plan.
