Might be cheaper to have a helicopter come pick you up tonight.

Probable cause bruh. No need for owner or warrant.

Go ask them if they have a warrant! You are the first defense!! You need to make this right!!! C'mon man! You can do it!!!

Estimates are 30-40 to get to P'ville. Reasonable.
Plenty of cars out right now.

OP: you're going to have to elaborate a little before even staunch government critics like myself jump on board.

So what happened after the cop opened the persons door?

He helped the old lady out and wished her a wonderful night.

How did they get the door open? Slim-Jim it themselves? Most cops/agencies have stopped doing unlock services and are handing the job off to Pop-a-Lock. This means that some have little experiance actually using unlock tools. I've seen some people struggle for what seems forever getting a door open even with proper tools.

You do know that you do not have the same expectation of privacy in your vehicle as your home right? Different rules and guidlines for searching a vehicle, to an extent, as a vehicle can be driven away and evidence disposed of more easily and quickly.

Um...no.
In LA your vehicle is considered an extension of your home.
