When you have a crap season you get a crap Bowl game on a crappy field. The fact this is happening more frequently is very telling.

not much you can do

Yes you can. You know it's going to rain a lot, put a tarp on the field. I'm sure there's a minor league stadium there, go borrow their tarp. Do something.

It is sunny and bright and 40 degrees...beautiful. The filed is awesome. The center of field was replace four weeks ago.

Field is not a concern in any way.

make BCS bowls (or whatever they're called now) or the playoffs and this won't be a problem.

How is that? Are all of those stadiums impervious to poor weather conditions?

Even the much maligned Independence Bowl is played on an artificial surface. It rained two days before the game and during the game. Mud was not an issue.

rose bowl- rarely gets that much rain

fiesta- inside

cotton, peach, sugar- domes

orange- ok ill give you that one

anyways there is a higher chance of planning on good fields in these bowl games compared to the other ones

Regardless, everyone is saying the field is fine, so I don't even understand why this post was made.

Teddy gets it....it's not that hard. Frontal rain is pretty easy to predict and plan for..if field is soft then they just didn't even try.

lol...

Not at you, but how could there be differing reports on this?

I mean, the field is either in good shape, or not...right?

That's peoples opinions. Someone can see it as ok and playable - good shape, or others could see it as terrible - bad shape.

only exception is the pen st game...that was just turrible

Well, if this report is true (didn't hear it personally), Gordy is literally on the field right now. It's about as good of a source as you are going to get.
