Texas is not even in the top 5 of college jobs to the men that matter; coaches. Every time that job has come open in recent memory, they haven't even come close to hiring the best coach out there at the time. Young people like to think Austin is the best at everything, including stops for coaches, but that isn't reality. A coach like Meyer or Saban does not give two shits where their families live or what goes on down on sixth street. Those guys work 15 hour days or more year round and, to them, Austin is no better a place than Columbus or Tuscaloosa. There's a reason top coaches never take this job.
