Do you have any news articles on this? Not that I don't believe you, I'm genuinely interested because I didn't hear anything about that. I mean, he did get thrown into the fire with the Vitt suspension in 2012, but I assumed that the increased exposure helped get him the new job moreso than being run off.

think there were some hurt feelings over vitt getting the temporary head coach title over kromer because vitt was more a payton guy or some shite

no, as geauxtigers said, i'm pretty sure kromer was PO'd how the head coaching position title was delegated and kromer almost seemed to have been labeled as an early goat. not something you'll see a lot of articles about.
