He also wrote that Clement "jumped on that officer and began pushing that officer off of his friend."
video shows that this did not happen at all
quote:
A Virginia man visiting Baton Rouge says he was thrown to the ground and arrested while trying to video the actions of city police officers. The claims by Daniel Clement, 22, of Flint Hill, are now the focus of an internal affairs investigation within the Baton Rouge Police Department. Investigators have obtained a copy of surveillance video from the Varsity Theater, which captured much of the incident.
quote:
That is when a Baton Rouge police officer is seen on surveillance video walking over to Clement and snatching his phone away.
"It got ripped from my hands and as I turned to see who ripped it, another officer slammed me into the railing outside," Clement added.
That officer is then seen on surveillance video putting his hands around Clement's neck and tossing him to the ground where he partially landed on top of another officer who was apprehending someone else.
"They threw me on the ground and started throwing their knees into me," he explained.

A cop getting cuffed with his own cuffs and this shite all in one day. fricking love the BRPD.

I love how it's not a crime for a police officer to lie in his police report and make up reasons to charge someone with felony violent crimes that will drastically damage soneone's life. Unnecessary violence committed by the officers on top of that.
Wonder what happened to the dude's iPhone video??

I think if a cop gets caught lying like this, he should be fired and face charges.
Violating the public's trust is despicable.

Clement was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of public intoxication, battery on police, resisting an officer and remaining after forbidden.
This is such a ridiculous charge in just about any circumstance I can imagine. If a cop says someone has to leave, and he doesn't, he gets charged with a crime? WTF?

Why was the kid in the white shirt cuffed? He was just standing there with his back turned.
In the article, the Virginia kid said he's applying for the Peace Corps. He'd better get this situation straightened out in his favor with a quickness, or he can forget about that.

Hell yessssss! . He obviously cursed the officer, resisted their continuous requests for dispersing, was drunk, and needed to be handled exactly like that. Don't come to BR if you are a pussy. Kudos to the BRPD! We need more of this! Fist pumps! I had to watch it several times to thoroughly enjoy this. I would have tasered his arse too for having that damn red shirt on instead of the PnG....
