Your first couple jobs will never ask what grades you make; it's not the grades you make- it's the hands you shake in college. Don't have a steady girlfriend in college- there is plenty of time for that in your 30's. Go on more road trips with friends. Once all of your friends graduate and "get real jobs," it is difficult to get together. Go to more concerts and music festivals. Go to every SEC away game. Drugs.... they are not all that bad. NEVER turn down a free line of booger sugar.

I would tell him to GO with the band to La Vela that summer, as they ended up being the main metal room band from July to August, and wouldn't have interfered with my freshman Fall semester at all.
I allowed myself to be subd by some hack for 1 gig that ended up being permanent...due to a misplaced sense of "academic responsibility"
