re: TBT OB version. Remember Christmas of 1989

Told this tale many a time here.....was so cold, that the one of the only "unfrozen" waters around the river parishes was the hot water canal that ran from the sugar mill to the swamp behind east St. John. My best friends little brothers came back from robin hunting (w/pellet guns) w/several mallards. He told us the canal was full of them. He wasn't lying, and at age 17, I wasn't worried about game laws too
much. It's without a doubt the easiest ducks I've ever killed, and also the most demonstrative event evidencing my lack of concern about game laws at 17.
