They were talking about the Bengals playoff hopes and how Jeremy Hill has been coming on late and the more he touches the ball, the more Andy Dalton has less chances to turn the ball over. Then Trey Wingo says "You look at LSU and how they had Jeremy Hill, Juice Landry, OBJ and Mettenberger ... how did they not win the National Championship and score 60 points a game down in Baton Rouge"

I understand our D that year was weaker than previous years and I'm not coming here to bash LSU/Miles or anyone. I just think it's ridiculous how often we hear this. I hope Miles and his staff realizes we can put those numbers Trey mentioned because why couldn't we? And for what reasons should we not?

I already mentioned this, but I agree with you completely. No excuse for this putrid offense.

The truth lies in the middle. On one end there is the "we should've won the NC and been the top offense in every statistical category" crowd that doesn't recognize we did some really good things on offense last year and the "we were a historic offense" crowd that has been conditioned to expect putrid offense and think any offense that appears competent to them is historic/great. Truth is, we did some really good things with those players but we probably could/should have been even better.

because our coach was certainly not nicknamed "summa cum laude" at Michigan while attending the university. that's for sure.

We had the #3 defense in the SEC last year.

And the #7 offense.

We should have won every game. No excuses.

I have NEVER seen a group of of rookies from one school play this way in the NFL. It is absurd.

Does Trey Wingo know why they say "defense wins championships"?
