Still suspended. Wonder if it another Honey Badger situation? Very unfortunate because thought the kid had it with a great future ahead too.

I really hope he sees the big picture and gets it together this offseason. He has so much potential to be great. I would hate to see him fall off.

I'm really surprised nothing has come out on this situation. Usually miles never says anything but there are at least rumors or unconfirmed sources

With him it's just "uhh idk it's grades and skipping class uhh yeah"

Grades doesn't make sense because he got suspended with a couple months left in the semester and they don't penalize students for grades until they actually have their final grades in December

I have no inside information, but after a series of violations of team policy, at some point you draw the line (whatever it is) and have a zero tolerance policy.

So, let's say that this was done with respect to school...and the coaching staff indicated that he must attend classes and/or study sessions. Once the player again decides that he doesn't need to do it, it's time to move on.

It feels like Miles has moved on. I don't expect him to be back on the team. I'd say the chances of that are 1 in 20.

Rumor has it he was about 90% gone. Supposedly, he has made a deal with the coaches, if he does a bunch of stuff, mostly academically, he may be back next yr. Again supposedly, he is still in school and working on his academics trying to stay at LSU.

But who knows the complete factual story. MIles doesnt let much get out of that locker room.

RR is a good player but not as good as most believe.

He is excellent against long striding tall WR's tho and that's a rare talent and much needed a couple of times a yr.

RR has an NFL star ceiling. Perfect long, fast skill set.

Just needs to work on getting stronger and having more discipline covering quick WRs.

Of course he also needs to get his shite together off the field.

One more tidbit on the game: Yesterday it was confirmed that LSU cornerback Rashard Robinson will not travel with the team to the Music City Bowl. Robinson remains indefinitely suspended. Although it’s never been stated officially, it appears that Robinson’s suspension is related to academics, as I’ve stated before. According to this report, sources close to LSU said Robinson petitioned school officials to stay in school and on the team, and that he must complete a set of requirements to be allowed back in 2015.

And this is why people should believe about 1/10 of what they read on the rant.

I'm guessing that he will do what Tyrann Mathieu did when he was suspended after his sophomore year and not eligible for the draft. Didn't he go to South Florida and train with Patrick Peterson's father. Shouldn't be hard for Robinson since he's from the same city, all he has to do is move home.

I don't foresee him playing another down in Tiger Stadium unless he is in a Auburn or Ole Miss uniform.

I for one would like to have him back, but apparently he really needs to straighten himself out on some things.

Umm there is such a thing as midterm grades. Its possible the guy was failing his classes. I know people wish we were more cut throat. But I'm down for not rewarding players who aren't trying. They don't even have to take 12 hrs in the fall. That can be made up in intersession, summer and spring.

Sounds good on his part.

Yes but midterm grades don't mean shite. If you are failing a class at the midterm all you do is get an email saying "hey you're failing. Do better"

Mid term grades don't mean shite.

Unless the drop date came up and he just dropped all of his hours I don't see it being just grades specifically.

Yes - hope he pulls it off and can make it back on the team. Very high ceiling and could be NFL in the future. Hate to see him lose that opportunity.

This definitely sounds legit. If he pushed it over the edge then he would've been dismissed. No reason for Miles and company to keep him off the field, drag him along, and cut him at the end of the season.
So I believe he'll have the opportunity to play again, but if history is any indicator, he won't meet the requirements.

It's a shame. RR brought great height for covering the big WRs (is he really 6'3''?) and he'd be the most experienced, but thankfully we're pretty loaded with Neal (coming back), Paris probably pushing for some time, hopefully Jalen returning, and KT coming in.

Based on history of BS, I think RR is outta here. They won't trust him.

Some of these kids come from very disadvantaged backgrounds. They may have been in some sort of legal trouble, academic trouble, or just did not have the parental support kids need today growing up in this difficult society with all of it's pressures. Some College coaches are willing to give these kids a chance because of their tremendous potential. But just because a kid shows up on a major college campus to play sports, does not mean he will be automatically transformed into a model citizen.
I'm not saying any of this applies to Robinson but is more of a general observation based on what I've seen over time. These coaches go the extra mile trying to bring these kids along by giving them every opportunity to straighten out their lives, but sometime it just doesn't pan out.
I really hope Rashard can work it out.
