Odd. You wouldn't have wanted to be one of the 23 schools to score more PPG than us or one of the 4 SEC schools to do it? I mean, we do play offense in order to score, correct?

Only 8 teams in cfb scored more points per play.

You wouldn't have traded it for one of the 32 teams to gain more yards than LSU to include 5 SEC teams?

Only 11 teams in all of cfb had a better yards per play ranking.

Total yards and point pee game are skewed by the number of plays ran.for example, lsu was 12th in all of cfb in yards per play, but we were 105th in plays ran which skewed our totals. If lsu had ran a hurry up no huddle offense our total offenseove yardage wouldve been better than 33rd and our scoring wouldve been better than 23rd.

I put it like this. When the ball was snapped, only 11 teams in all of cfb had more success at gaining yardage.
Yards per play and points per play arent skewed by anything, while total offense and ppg are skewed by the total number of plays ran.

2013 lsu offense
12th in the entire ncaa in yards per play
9th in the entire ncaa in points per play
1st in the entire ncaa in 3rd down conversion
6th in the entire ncaa in passing Efficiency.

Thats elite offense.

Sadly, no one was ever awarded a victory for having the superior yards per play.

You play the game to score points.

If the other team ran more plays and therefore had fewer yards per play but outscored you, they win.

Maybe you should start a new sport where they give point credit at the end of the game for yards per play.
