figured you would back yourself into a corner and say. " see ya bruh" .

I didnt back into shite.
The last person to truly innovate in cfb was Rich Rod at WVU with the Read Option.

What criteria are you using to say those programs were better than LSU in 2004

Florida- had 6 sec titles and. National titles since 1991
Florida St - finished in the top 5 for 14 straight years
Tenn-had back to back sec titles, and played in another one and had a BCS title
Oklahoma- 3 conference titles and bcs title
USC- since 1993 6 conference titles and 2 national titles
Do i need to go on?
Lsu was a program on the rise, but werent a top 5 program in 2005.

Or are you just talking out of your arse to discredit and shite on the program pre-Miles.

Im not discrediting the Saban era. Im just pointing out how saban get praised for the 2001 sec title game ( 3 losses with nfl talent all over the field Rohan Davey, Josh Reed, Michael Clayton, Ryan Clark, Devery Henderson, Marquise Hill, Bradie james, Chad lavalais, marcus spears,Labrandon Toefield, and Corey webster) and miles gets blasted for 2013 ( 3losses)

Why are you diminishing what the program accomplished?

Im not. Its called reality. Lsu wasnt a top 5 program in 2005.

[/quote]I asked you what criteria you were using to say those programs were better than LSU in 2004 and you listed a bunch of historical shite that has nothing to do with where those programs were in 2004. But since you listed them I'll play along.

quote:

Florida- had 6 sec titles and. National titles since 1991

By 2004 they were 8 seasons removed from a NC and Ron Zook was their head coach. The last time they had won an SEC title was four seasons earlier. Zook was fired in 2004 for having back to back 5 loss seasons. So were they still a better program in 2004 than LSU?

quote:

Florida St - finished in the top 5 for 14 straight years

Won a NC in 1999. But then 2,4,5,3,3 loss seasons with no top 10 finishes. Still a better program than LSU in 2004?

quote:

Tenn-had back to back sec titles, and played in another one and had a BCS title

NC in 1998. Then 3,4,2,5,3,3 loss seasons and no SEC titles. Better than LSU as a program in 2004?

quote:

Oklahoma- 3 conference titles and bcs title

Oklahoma was rolling during that time period and would have probably have been considered a top 5 program. But LSU has just beaten them in the NC game. So although historically they were considered a better program I don't think they were that far apart from LSU in 2004 in reality in terms of talent, facilities, etc.

quote:

USC- since 1993 6 conference titles and 2 national titles

From 1996 to 2001 they went 37-35. Their second-worst over any five-year span in history. Starting in 2001 with Carroll they went 6-6, 11-2,12-1,13-0. They were a better program historically but were re-emerging with Carrol at the same time LSU was with Saban. So they would be in the top 5 ballpark.

Do i need to go on?

Yes you need to go on. You named 5 programs 3 of which were not better programs than LSU in 2004.

And again, you are listing historical stuff. What matters at a program in win/loss record the last say 5 seasons, talent base, current roster, facilities, conference, etc...
