Why should the President be involved in local law enforcement matters?

Of course they would. He won't and he shouldn't. Would Bush have returned from his Crawford ranch for this?

I know that President Bush would vacation there, but I thought his Crawford Ranch had some setup that he could work from there had he needed.

Or is that wrong?

i can see him needing to comment on the matter, but the president doing anything more than commenting on local matters is just a waste of time.

If this were a gay athlete he'd speak out but this is just two dead cops. He can't be bothered with that.

Cause he's been involved in all the others..Remember"The police acted STUPIDLY", and "Trayvon could be my son". He's always on the Wrong side, according to facts, but he always weighs in...If he doesn't do it now, it looks like he'll always be on the TPOS side...

No, it's not wrong, but Obama I'm sure has the same thing in Hawaii. It is home to USPACOM

No president takes a vacation. Not in the real sense of the word.

Fox being Fox. Thank god they weren't around when saint Ronnie stayed at his ranch after the Korean plane was shot down.

There's nothing he can do. He needs to avoid this shite and let the locals deal with it. He can only make matters worse.

Fox News asks a legitimate question.

A "return from vacation" could be a simple four-minute recorded statement.

He has never hesitated in the past to inject himself into local matters.

That MF vacations too much. That being said, this is not something he needs to handle. No reason for a president to get involved in these matters.

I agree with this.

However, if it was a single black killed by a white. . .he would not only have come back early, but have delivered a formal speech.

Wowza..Obama makes a public statement in regards to Ferguson and the NY choking death but it's too much to expect of him to comment now?? Both sides have to meet in the middle..with the President's leadership, if that's possible, and agree that policing methods need to evolve and that communities need to respect the police authority..or just scrap it and segregate police forces into respective neighborhoods..

Because some black folks and liberals would have been pissed if he wasn't.

He has blood on his hands. The more he says, the worse it gets. The further he gets from the country, the better off we all are.
