I have 1350 miles coming up this week. Done it many times. Podcasts and audio books are your friends. Always keep an emergency caffeine source in the car. Sucks when you're in BFE and your eyes start getting heavy and you don't have an exit with a gas station for 30 miles. I find it's much easier to do solo as you stop less and stops are shorter.

And of course, always check beer advocate for good beer stores along the route.

Oh yeah, almost forgot since it's a relatively new addition to my road trip routine, but put Waze on your phone if you don't already have it. Worth it for the cop locations.
