Seems like for so long the Republicans were supposed to be about personal responsibility and were quick to denounce anyone who blamed gun violence on anyone other than the people who actually committed the crimes. Blaming guns was dumb. Blaming societal factors and agitators was dumb. Ultimately it was the fault of whomever the murderer is.
