I don't know if he was actually down here but there was definitely some shite going on Downtown. I was stuck on the Superdome overpass in a triage for transported prisoners and there were gunshots everywhere at times. There were lots of heavily armed people being dropped out of helicopter for days. His story of being on top of the Dome may not be entirely correct but I whole-heartily believe U.S. snipers were taking people out at some point and I never wear tin foil hats.

Yes. He also claims to have been involved in a ridiculously movie-style incident at a gas station. There is no evidence whatsoever that this incident ever occurred. Also, he is the one who claimed to have knocked out Jesse Ventura at a bar (a court found that he defamed Ventura with this prevarication). I read the book. And while I salute his years of service (IMO, he did way too many tours when he could have been at home with his family), I have no interest in the continued lionization of the military with films such as this.
