Yeah, I was really answering about the large sports complexes here.
You should see the high schools they are building here in Katy. I want to say $8-10 mil? was what Katy ISD spent to build Thompkins. It's huge and has indoor pools and other stuff. It's a bit intimidating to be inside there. But they do keep the classroom ratios very good and Katy is top 2 in all public schools in Houston area.
We moved from BR and was sending our daughter to Catholic elem school. The schools here are easily as good as the privates in most of La and no tuition. However, I pay over $3k a year of my property taxes to Katy ISD.

Seven Lakes was reportedly 76 million from what I read and Thompkins has a similar layout. Seven Lakes was over 4,000+ students before Tompkins. By the way, Katy barely makes the cut for 6A at right around 2,500 students.
