re: Family heirloom, when to sell?

Depends on how much sentimental value, which isn't stated in the article, and whether I needed the money. If it's a piece of furniture we just happened to have, no problem. If it come in a covered wagon via the Oregon Trail with an ancestor, I'd want to hang on to it if possible.
