Idris Elba will never be Bond and here's why: he'll be too old for the role by the time it becomes available.
Daniel Craig still has one more Bond film left on his contract after Spectre. That final film won't be out until 2017 at the earliest but will more than likely get a 2018 release. Assuming Craig hangs it up after that, Elba will be either 48 or 49 years of age when his first film as Bond is released in theaters (assuming a 2020 or 2021 release date). That means he will be over 50 years of age when his second film as James Bond is released.

he did seem to be a bit of a baby about playing Heimdall in a recent interview but it was tough to read his tone. He may not be anywhere near as bitter as it sounded on the page.
