There is no excuse to not get Jennings more PT this year in better preparation for next year; I don't think anyone outside of that staff can logically argue there is.

I certainly would have liked to see him get ALOT more PT and work him in, but unfortunately I wasn't there to see what his actions were like on a daily basis. Word was his attitude and preparation improved into the season and he had begun to take things more serious (hence getting the nod at Auburn), but I don't think that game was reason enough to just remove the kids from the playbook.

Jennings was still beating Harris regularly to the facility after the season started. He was staying later than Harris was and was putting in extra work.

So if I move to Baton Rouge, show up at the facilities at 4 am and leave at 9 pm, I can be LSU's starting QB???? Sounds good.

See how stupid that is. If ones better.....PLAY HIM

It didn't change that Jennings "got it" earlier and sooner

The only thing that is factual and obvious in the public eye is that
quote:

It didn't change that Jennings "got it" earlier

What he got was the starting job and no matter what occurred during the season it was not changing and the fact is still, it did not change.

If that was Jennings "getting it", I'd hate to see the alternative.

Same thing happened to Jennings last year. I was preaching this all season long.

So, you think Jennings is our best QB?
Serious question...
Or do you just think he works harder?

You really think this a Shreveport v Non-Shreveport thing?

Of course not. I'm just commenting on what I perceive to be the propensity of you people to think Harris is the GOAT.

I know all the arguments, and would have preferred him to get more PT. I just don't think some of you homers can look at this objectively.

No, because your talent level and skill set is nowhere near Jennings.

Things were close and the kid got outworked. Sounds like he realized it (albeit late) and made changes but he dug his grave and he has accepted it.

Why so many LSU fans refuse to is beyond me other than the fact that they are delusional.

I think he's been the most prepared. Harris had a hard time knowing what plays were being called at times.

I'm certain Harris is the most talented, and he shouldn't have a problem taking the starting job during the offseason......IF he puts in the work.

Exactly. He won the job and Harris did nothing to win it back. He (as many fans here as well) wanted the job given to him even though he was getting outworked by an older, more experienced player and proven winner.

The fact that it took Harris until the fall to realize he needed to be outworking Jennings is his own fault.

In any situation in life, if you want something someone else has (and Jennings WON the job) you need to go get it, not wait for someone to give it to you because you think you deserve it. Your own personal opinion of yourself doesn't mean as much as someone elses if they are the ones determining if you get what you want.

Harris should have known what time #10 was going to arrive and beat him by 5 minutes every day. If he did an extra hour of film study, I want two hours. If he stays around for 30 minutes with Dural after practice, I want an hour with Dupre and Quinn.

In Les's secret formula for a QB maybe. Harris is superior in every facet except graduating high school a year after Jennings.

Come on. He was 1-0 against Iowa.

Not in preparation and that was the difference. Harris needed to make for his lack of experience with something and he thought his talent alone would do it...it didn't. Learning experience.

He's moved on, why can't you?

So was he just going to the facility, taking a picture with his receivers, and leaving this Summer when he posted pics daily of them working on routes?

The saddest thing is Jennings put in all this work yet still was the worst qb in the sec

Shreveport

First, he's from Bossier. Not Shreveport. Believe it or not there is a difference. Shreveport actually voted for Mary Landrieu.

Second, he's the first player to come out of Parkway High School and actually make it to a big time school, so we are proud of him and want him to excel.

Third, Jennings hasn't done anything all year. As shown in the Arky game, couldn't move the ball to save his life. We just want to see Miles not be so damn stubborn trying to run the same offense all game and think it'll eventually work. What would it hurt to try something different and change up his play calls or put different players at key positions.
