Anyone professing to be a 1%er will wear a patch something like this....



This is their way of telling the world they are a 1%er. But all the clubs pretty much know who's who and who goes where. But if for instance if your chapter is going into a neighboring state where your club does not have a presence, before going your club reaches out to that state's dominate club and gets clearance to fly your colors in that state during your trip. This step avoids any confusion and keeps trouble at bay.
