My team played his in the first round of the playoffs my junior year and all his team wanted to do was throw him lobs (it was his sophomore year I think).
We got him the next year at a summer tourney/camp at LHS I think and the Glen Oaks/New Iberia game had every other team in the stands glued to their seats.
If I remember correctly, Chris Manuel (6’8” guard) and Kelvin Price (6’8” forward) tried to dunk on Lester on a 2-on-1 break and Lester not only blocked the dunk, but took it.
Lester was a beast in high school.

I played for Lafayette High and was a Sr. the year of the summer tourney you mentioned. Lester Earl was a Junior at the time. I recall that we played 2-3 teams for one half that day, including Glen Oaks.
There was no score being kept on the score board but we played them to a 32-32 tie and had some success breaking their brutal press, which had Lester as the guy on the inbound passer, then he'd immediately double the guy who received the inbound pass (usually me).
Manuel and Price were '94, so I think they were two years older than Earl. Those NISH teams were intimidating, even more during the '93 season when Manual & Price were juniors and there were a couple of really good seniors.
