Not everyone really wants to buy a computer only to have to install virtualization software and a second alternate operating system just to get their normal work done.

And this is coming from someone who uses a Mac but uses Parallels for work-specific software.

Why not? It;'s free. It's a piece of cake to install and even easier to use.

How many typical college students need actual Windows anymore anyway? If they do there's a free and seamless solution. Once you have it installed it runs side by side concurrently. Not like it slows you down in the least or anything.
