I don't think it's archaic. We saw what it can do last year with a seasoned QB. Les went conservative to minimize mistakes with inexperienced QBs. Anyone that thought LSU was going to sling it around was just not realistic.
To say what we saw this year is a modern pro style offense though is not accurate. Last year, yes.

Its the same damn scheme without a qb who executes. Jesus
Yes. The PLAYCALLING was vanilla to protect a qb. The scheme is the exact same as last year.
