he brought his child along for one of his kills...he also left tons of dna evidence

he evaded capture for so long because he was killing prostitutes and street rats that no one would report missing, then he brought their bodies to the wilderness, where they'd be badly decomposed by the time they were discovered

harder to catch them when you don't have a crime scene

bundy actually suggested to the FBI, who were really just interested in analyzing him, that when they found the next body to leave it there and stake it out because he'd come back...turns out that's exactly what he was doing
