While I agree that pushing religion isn't cool, he's only pushing if it's mandatory, right?

I don't see any evidence that it's mandatory.

I don't want to pass too much judgment here without knowing the nature of it for myself.

But even if it isn't mandatory, I can easily see how such a practice could be divisive in the locker room. What if your boss started getting some employees together at work for bible readings? Even if it isn't mandatory, I can easily see where that would get weird. Look how many people in this thread have already made sarcastic remarks. There are dozens of men on a football team roster plus coaches, assistants, and other staff. I find it hard to believe that there aren't at least a few guys rolling their eyes within the organization.

Good way of explaining what I was getting at, thanks. I run a company with 500+ emps, with people in 20 countries and every custom and religion you can imagine. The last thing I would do is mention my religion as I would not want to influence anyone or create any kind of uncomfortable situation. My view is religion should be a deeply private choice and practice. Public display is bs.

I bet Every team in the NFL and NCAA has these bible studies. So if they're rolling their eyes and can't respect the religions of others, then they are the ones causing the problem.
